Multi Line Optical Character Recognition Reader • MLOCR

MLOCR is a mail sorting machine that uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to determine how to route mail through the postal system.

The MLOCR capture images of the front the mail piece and extracts the address from each piece. It looks up postal code of each address in a master database, prints a barcode that represents the information digitally, and sorts according to barcode. This all occurs in a fraction of a second as the mail passes through the MLOCR.  The mail is then sorted further by barcode sorters that read barcodes to determine its destination.
